Business Development Manager – St. Louis Metro Area
A leading and growing audiovisual technology company is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join its expanding business development team in the St. Louis area. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the BDM will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the audio video (AV) industry. This dynamic role focuses on building relationships with prospective clients, developing strategies to penetrate new markets, and driving revenue growth through new client acquisition.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential clients in the AV industry.
Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
Identify and engage prospective clients through networking, industry events, cold calling, and digital outreach.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent engagement and follow-up.
Deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
Establish and nurture key relationships across the industry to increase market presence.
Report on sales activity, pipeline status, and market trends, offering insights and recommendations to leadership.
Negotiate and close new business deals that align with company goals and client expectations.
Collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure seamless transitions from prospecting to client onboarding.
Accurately forecast sales and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Proven success in business development, sales, or a related role—preferably in the AV or technology sector.
In-depth knowledge of the AV industry, including current trends and competitive landscape.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with a strong ability to influence decision-makers and close deals.
Proficient with CRM tools and data-driven sales strategies.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit and strong team orientation.
Passion for AV technology and a commitment to ongoing learning and industry awareness.
