Role Overview: Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative identifies and negotiates strategic relationships with current customers and develops new business relationships.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for potential new clients within our target market: Pool & Spa Retailers, Pool Builders, Maintenance firms.
  • Conduct cold calls and market to prospective clients.
  • Follow up and qualify sales leads.
  • Make professional presentations on products and programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel.
  • Identify client needs.
  • Provide quotes and product data as needed.
  • Close sales and ensure delivery.
  • Support Operations and Accounts Receivable efforts.
  • Collaborate with Sales Center, Regional, and Divisional managers to grow the business.
  • Complete internal reports and paperwork promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of professional-level B2B sales experience.
  • Proven success in wholesale sales.
  • Ability to cold call prospective clients.
  • Knowledge of product lines such as pool equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC, or similar.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (no more than 2 violations in 3 years) and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of AMP or similar CRM preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory control software like Prelude is helpful.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
