LOCATION

This role is a field based remote position in Pittsburgh, PA. Location in this area is required because of the responsibilities to be present in the assigned market.

THE ROLE

poppi is seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth and brand visibility within a designated geographical territory. As a Business Development Representative, you will focus on merchandising, upselling, and expanding poppi’s presence across various retailers. You will be accountable for growing depletions, selling cold placements and activating promotions. Your primary responsibility will be to increase points of distribution, both warm and cold, as well as ensuring poppi products are optimally displayed, stocked, and promoted.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Upsell and merchandise, which includes engaging with retailers to upsell poppi products and expand distribution in both refrigerated (cold) and ambient (warm) placements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to foster long-term partnerships and brand loyalty.
  • Maximize product visibility by ensuring poppi products are well-stocked and attractively displayed through effective merchandising strategies.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and provide market insights to enhance territory sales strategies.
  • Track daily sales activities, distribution points, and market trends to continuously optimize performance.
  • Serve as a positive and professional ambassador for poppi, consistently communicating the brand’s values to retailers and customers.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • 1+ years of merchandising or sales experience.
  • Preferred: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and industry systems and platforms (VIP and Repsly).
  • Valid state driver’s license for the posted state or territory, and reliable transportation in accordance with State requirements for motor vehicles.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The role will support the Pittsburgh, PA region and surrounding area. The person in this role will need to reside in Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require 50-pound lifting requirement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • The ability to sit, stand, walk, and type for long periods of time.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands.

COMPENSATION

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. This is a full-time non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours in a work week. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $45,000 - $48,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
