Qualifications

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating quality new business pipeline for the sales team through inbound and outbound efforts. They may also serve as the main contact to build relationships with incoming calls and web inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build rapport with contacts by offering resources and understanding where the prospect is in the buying process.
  2. Transform marketing leads into sales opportunities that meet qualification criteria (BANT) by educating and challenging prospects.
  3. Partner with field sales on account planning and competitive strategies.
  4. Engage in outbound prospecting including cold calling and leveraging intent data.
  5. Assist with inbound chats and calls, follow-up via phone and email, and ask for referrals.
  6. Maintain Salesforce database accuracy and completeness.
  7. Expand on key buying personas and units in target companies using various tools.
  8. Engage with social media channels to build relationships and interact with prospects and customers.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Curiosity and problem-solving skills to uncover prospect needs.
  • Active listening ability.
  • Comfort with outreach via phone and other channels.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Driven to exceed targets and quotas.
  • Comfort with remote and flexible work environments.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft is a plus.
  • Business application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Savvy with social selling, blogging, video, and digital collaboration tools.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $51,500 - $95,500, with potential bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health insurance, telehealth, flexible work, career growth, paid holidays, 401(k), adoption assistance, and fertility treatments. More info: https://mygenesysbenefits.com
