Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Representative in Denver or Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, proactive, and goal-driven. This role involves developing new business and maintaining existing relationships within a defined geographic territory.

Job Responsibilities
  • Achieve lead generation targets for new environmental testing opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow key customer accounts.
  • Manage ongoing client support and develop client relationship strategies.
  • Communicate with clients to monitor satisfaction.
  • Identify new business leads and contact prospective clients.
  • Conduct industry and market analysis for the territory.
  • Research and document the competitive landscape.
  • Leverage internal teams and resources to open new opportunities.
  • Manage sales transitions and support documentation using sales tools like Salesforce.
  • Utilize LinkedIn for prospecting and brand recognition.
  • Support retention of existing business and maintain presence in local labs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience in the environmental industry and selling professional services preferred.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to relocate quickly if not local to Colorado.
Education

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university.

Additional Details
  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
  • Travel required twice monthly within the territory, plus occasional regional and overnight travel.
  • Remote work from Colorado, with an 8-hour workday Monday-Friday, with potential after-hours and weekend work.
  • SPL does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
