Job Overview :

The Business Development Representative supports a major OEM auto maker relationship, the OEM’s retail dealerships, and related staff with Safe-Guard Product and Services Training and Sales Advisory Services. The Business Development Representative will use his/her product knowledge and training skills to maximize productivity and results throughout multiple client locations in an assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities :
  1. Serve as the primary point of contact with key partners and clients to meet defined goals and strategic results.
  2. Build and conduct customized training programs to assist OEM auto makers and/or their dealership network to grow and improve their book of Finance & Insurance business.
  3. Leverage the Safe-Guard Training platform as a strategic differentiator and value-added product/service.
  4. Establish an impactful presence at industry events, conferences, and publications on behalf of Safe-Guard.
  5. Partner with the Sales Management Team and participate in initiatives to maximize sales revenue.
  6. Enhance programs and systems related to Safe-Guard product knowledge, menu selling mastery, and objection handling expertise with industry constituents.
  7. Conduct regional and dealership training seminars designed to increase dealer profitability and product sales penetration.
  8. Develop and utilize manager- and company-approved training and marketing materials.
  9. Assist dealers’ efforts to comply with applicable laws and regulations via best practice reviews and ongoing training.
  10. Market and facilitate dealer participation in comprehensive F&I certification and training classes hosted by Safe-Guard.
  11. Educate and train all applicable departments and personnel on the features, benefits, and value of Safe-Guard products.
  12. Implement action plans for increased sales of Safe-Guard products and services.
  13. Advance relationships with key partners and work closely to develop win/win strategies to improve productivity.

Job Requirements :
  1. Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, preferred.
  2. 6+ years of automotive retail-related management (F&I, Sales Mgr, GSM, GM, Training Specialist).
  3. 2+ years of F&I specific experience (may be included in 6+ years above).
  4. 3+ years of proven territory management and training activities (may be included in 6+ years above).
  5. Extensive menu selling knowledge/experience.
  6. Proficient in selling current F&I product suite portfolio.
  7. Experienced in account development with sustained results.
  8. Experienced in “hands-on” development training of dealership personnel and/or "train the trainer" in-store development.
  9. Excellent communications and public speaking skills.
  10. Proven success in developing innovative programs through execution of established conversion methods.
  11. Willing to travel at least 50%.
  12. Authorized to work in the U.S.
  13. Ability to successfully pass a background check.
