S-E-A is expanding its Dallas (Irving) team due to growth. This role offers a career opportunity for a curious, driven professional with strong critical thinking skills. We are a forensic engineering firm that investigates the causes of failures. Our staff largely consists of professional engineers who serve as subject matter experts. The Business Development Representative will develop and maintain relationships with our Texas staff, promote company culture, and drive project count and revenue in the Dallas region. This position requires a frequent presence in the office; it is not remote.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Promote and expand our service offerings with existing and new clients in target markets such as Insurance Companies, Law Firms, and Manufacturers.
  2. Proactively prospect, pursue, and close new business to increase market share.
  3. Serve as liaison for client communication and scheduling with technical staff.
  4. Manage client relationships and address issues.
  5. Develop long-term business relationships and partnerships.
  6. Seek new clients aligning with target profiles.
  7. Attend industry trade shows and seminars.
  8. Assist in integrating diverse personalities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Develop and execute a sales plan to generate new client revenues.
  10. Build relationships with key decision-makers.
  11. Address client complaints or concerns.
  12. Accept and incorporate constructive feedback.
  13. Maintain regular and predictable presence at work.

Position Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. At least three years of outside sales experience in a service industry.
  3. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, relationship management, and time management skills.
  4. Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  1. Travel up to 50%, mainly by car.
  2. Effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  3. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  4. Ability to drive in all conditions.
  5. Travel to client locations and conferences, including by airline.
  6. Accept and utilize constructive feedback.
  7. Maintain regular and predictable work presence.
