Job description

BusRight is hiring remote, experienced Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to join our scaling Revenue Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities alongside a high-performing sales team that is supercharging BusRight's growth by putting our dynamic, all-in-one software solution into the hands of school districts nationwide! We are looking for sales professionals who are passionate about engaging and connecting with prospects, are highly self-motivated and intentionally curious, and are driven to contribute to revenue growth through new business acquisition in regionally assigned territories.

The ideal teammate has previously excelled in similar outbound selling motions and is eager to build upon their experience selling technology solutions in the Educational (K-12) Marketplace. As a highly valued member of the team, you will have the tools to successfully manage top-of-funnel leads and contribute by generating quality demand and accelerating new customer acquisition. Our valued new prospect connections are not just over the phone or through correspondence — in this role, you will have the opportunity to join the Account Executive Team on the road for state conference events where we deliver "magic hospitality" with every engagement.

  • Influence sales strategy: Work side-by-side with your sales Pod, tackling various sales efforts, defining outreach strategies, and representing BusRight at regional events and conferences.
  • Versatility: Wear many hats from business development, pipeline generation, conference engagement, and more.

What You Will Do

  • Outreach: Make approximately 80 calls daily targeting school districts in your territories to book about 10 quality meetings or demos per week.
  • Operations: Manage your lead funnel using provided outreach lists, run outreach cadences via SalesLoft and Salesforce, and collaborate with your Account Executive on territory strategy.
  • Culture: Participate in team role plays, call coaching, and contribute ideas to improve our lead generation playbook, embodying our core values.

What You Will Bring to the Team

  • Proven success: At least 2+ years in outbound technology sales with consistent achievement of targets and KPIs.
  • Strong communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, active listening, and objection handling.
  • Organization: Effective time management, diligent record-keeping, and task completion.
  • Sales aptitude: Skilled in cold calling, email outreach, and positioning value with enthusiasm and technical aptitude.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with marketing and sales, sharing insights and best practices.
  • Remote work: Ability to work independently in a remote environment, aligning with our values.
