Premier America Credit Union is seeking a Business Development Relationship Officer (Chatsworth) to expand business owner relationships, meet financial goals, and deliver tailored banking guidance. You will maintain an active prospect list, nurture referral sources, and represent the credit union in community events.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in commercial lending or business development, a related bachelor's degree, and strong relationship-building and sales skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial/business lending, credit, or business development are required.

Job Title: Business Development Relationship Officer - Chatsworth

Overview:

Business Development Relationship Officers (BDROs) at Premier America will develop and expand meaningful relationships with business owners in the communities we serve. In this role, BDROs will help business members meet their financial goals by building trusted relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering financial guidance tailored to their business needs.

BDROs develop and maintain an active prospect list, member outreach plan, and quality referral sources for companies with average annual revenues between $1 million and $10 million. They serve as the primary contact for borrowing needs and provide subject matter expertise in deposit and cash flow management solutions while partnering across Premier America to build and manage full banking relationships.

What You Will Do:

• Achieve assigned individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship goals.
• Align engagement results with community needs and support Premier America’s commitment to responsible and inclusive lending.
• Engage members, prospective members, and referral sources through proactive outreach and relationship-building activities.
• Represent Premier America in civic and community events when appropriate to generate opportunities and identify potential community development opportunities.
• Apply engagement practices that create value for both the member and Premier America through thoughtful partnering, planning, and preparation.
• Provide relevant financial guidance that helps members make informed decisions.
• Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for members, prospective members, and colleagues.
• Initiate conversations to uncover engagement and referral opportunities.
• Listen attentively and ask insightful questions to understand member needs and preferences.
• Take prompt action to address immediate member needs.
• Proactively optimize performance by seeking coaching, supporting Premier America initiatives, and leveraging available tools to enhance activities.
• Comply with all regulations, Premier America policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal risk.
• Complete required training by established deadlines.
• For roles defined to take deposits, maintain accountability for transaction accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in commercial or business lending, credit, or business development is required.
• Business development experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
• Application of a structured sales process
• Financial guidance and subject matter expertise
• Sales planning and forecasting
• Financial analysis and credit underwriting
• Knowledge of business lending, deposit, and cash management solutions
• Knowledge of retail and wealth solutions for referral opportunities
• Established centers of influence and referral sources
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. This position requires frequent driving to other offices, members, prospects, and related business locations. A Premier America vehicle is not provided.

Pay Grade Info:

The base pay range for this position is: $47-$58/hour
