Small Biz Heroes in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Business Development Associate to drive new business through outbound prospecting and partnerships. You will work with business owners to assess financing needs, complete applications, and advance opportunities through the sales process.

You’ll thrive on talking with people, taking initiative, and building a personal book of relationships. Expect uncapped commissions and a path to grow in the business funding industry.

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to initiate conversations with business owners.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach to generating new business.
• The ability to build relationships, earn trust, and follow through on commitments.
• Comfort with outbound calling, prospecting, and working toward performance goals.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Coachability, resilience, and a willingness to learn.
• Previous sales, business development, or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through outbound calls, social media, networking, and referrals.
• Build and manage relationships with referral partners who introduce business owners seeking financing.
• Respond to inbound leads, identify financing needs, and complete funding applications with clients.
• Qualify opportunities and coordinate next steps with Senior Funding Managers.
• Follow up consistently with prospects, clients, and referral partners to move opportunities forward.
• Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and client information in Salesforce.
• Meet individual activity, application, and revenue production goals.
