Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a Business Development Driver Manager to join the Marketing and Client Development team in San Francisco. The role oversees BD strategy, campaign activation, and pipeline discipline, coordinating with Marketing and Partners to convert opportunities into measurable results.

The position emphasizes leadership of a BD team, process optimization, and maintaining pipeline integrity, with a strong focus on collaboration, stakeholder briefing, and delivering actionable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applicable experience in the field (e.g., marketing or business development).
• Demonstrated business development skills (e.g. pipeline management, campaign execution).
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise CRM ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Strengthen pipeline management and opportunity development.
• Develop high-impact briefing materials and meeting prep strategies for partners and BD leaders.
• Collaborate with Marketing to convert lead flow into qualified opportunities.
• Coordinate cross-functionally between Marketing, BD leaders, and Partners.
• Translate discussions and client meetings into actionable plans and follow-up.
• Maintain pipeline integrity and provide updates for senior leadership.
• Refine BD processes to increase efficiency and impact.
• Serve as people leader; supervise and mentor direct reports.
• Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and other lifecycle events.
• All other duties as assigned.
