DESCRIPTION:
Williams & Connolly LLP is seeking a dynamic Business Development & Marketing Coordinator who thrives in a confidential and fast-paced environment, to support a range of Marketing & Business Development projects. This is a unique opportunity to join a powerhouse Business Development and Marketing team at one of the nation's premier litigation firms. This position works collaboratively with other BD & marketing department colleagues to provide cohesive support on strategic initiatives and key projects to ensure coordination, effective engagement with firm resources and high-quality execution of strategic projects and initiatives across the department and the firm.
The position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, the ability to keep abreast of a heavy schedule, and to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Under the direction of the Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer, the primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Essential Duties:
* Prepares marketing material, including pitches and proposals, responds to Request of Proposals (RFP's), and Power Point presentations;
* Prepares legal media submissions; responds to surveys and questionnaires;
* Assist in updating and maintaining Proposal and Case Database and client contact data for marketing and business development efforts;
* Assist the Business Development & Marketing team with the development, execution and administration of marketing programs and projects;
* Proactively supports assigned practice groups;
* Assist with alumni outreach initiatives, including preparation of alumni newsletter, and updating and maintenance of alumni contact database;
* Research identified business development targets;
* Provides support for events, conference sponsorships, and client development receptions, including invitation list development and invitation mailing, tracking RSVPs, organizing registrations, preparing nametags, preparing materials, reserving necessary equipment and venues;
* Coordinates preparation of advertisements, invitations and other collateral and promotional material;
* Updates biographies, firm, practice, case descriptions, and other business development and marketing content for the firm website, and other business development initiatives;
* Assist with other special projects and events.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in law firms or professional services and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be proactive and high-energy, and will conduct themselves with poise and professionalism. They will have knowledge of professional service marketing principles, leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making), ability to work in a team environment, ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion, a capacity to make or recommend sound decisions, and strong analytical skills.
The working hours for this position are 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. Flexibility with regards to schedule; willingness to working longer hours as needed. After successfully completing the introductory period, the candidate will be eligible to work the department's approved hybrid schedule.
Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following:
* Prolonged periods using a sit-to-stand desk and working on a computer.
* Repetitive movements, including typing on a keyboard and using a mouse.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
* Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
This is a non-exempt position. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $33.33 - $43.58, which equates to $65,000 - $85,000 on an annual basis based when working the standard 1,950-hour annual work schedule. The final offer amount is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, education, and other relevant skills and qualifications.
