We're looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager - West to join our Americas Sales team. If you thrive on building strong partnerships, driving commercial growth, and representing an iconic travel brand, we'd love to hear from you.
Location: Mountain or Pacific Time Zone, United States (Remote)
What You'll Do
As Business Development Manager, you will own and develop a designated territory across the Western region of the United States, maximizing sales opportunities through existing partners while identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with key travel trade partners and accounts
- Create and implement annual sales and marketing plans with strategic partners
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Deliver engaging training sessions, presentations, webinars, and product updates to travel advisors and consumers
- Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and consumer presentations
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity and provide insights to the wider team
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and account activity within Salesforce
- Collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Group Sales teams
- Manage travel expenses and marketing investments to ensure strong return on investment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales and customer service experience
- Strong account management and business development experience
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
- Ability to travel throughout the territory as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the travel, cruise, hospitality, or tourism industry
- Experience developing strategic sales plans and managing key accounts
- Strong understanding of partner marketing and co-op programs
