Business Development Manager – Protection & Automation Solutions

Join us to apply for the Business Development Manager – Protection & Automation Solutions role at Siemens.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Professional with a strong technical background in electrical protection and control, energy automation, focusing on End Users, EPCs, General/Electrical Contractors, Integrators, Engineering Firms, etc., in Industrial and Infrastructure markets. This remote position is based in the Central USA region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive innovation in Energy Distribution, focusing on Protection, Control, Automation & Digitalization with SIPROTEC and SICAM products.
  • Promote Microgrid Control Solutions to support Energy transition and Renewable integration.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Bid Management, and Technical Teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive profitable growth and oversee business development activities, including sales, account cultivation, and partnership development.
  • Report to the Director of Business Development for Protection and Energy Automation at Siemens USA, contributing to strategic planning.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years in Business Development, Sales, or Technical Engineering in Protection & Automation and Energy Automation.
  • Knowledge of protection and automation products (relays, SCADA, etc.).
  • 25-50% travel availability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems.
  • Experience with Application Software related to Protection & Control and Energy Automation.
  • Familiarity with Digital Substations, Cybersecurity, and Renewables Integration concepts.
  • Interest in IoT, Virtualization, AI, Analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with CRM tools for opportunity management.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $89,670 – $153,720 plus performance bonus. Siemens offers comprehensive health and wellness benefits. Details can be found at benefits link.
