Business Development Manager - Gulf Coast Region

Business Development Manager – Gulf Coast Region

Full-Time | Remote – Based in Greater Houston, TX / Gulf Coast Region

ATEC Steel is seeking a driven, well-connected Business Development Manager to expand our presence across the Gulf Coast. This role supports our API 650 / API 620 New Tank and API 653 Maintenance & Repair divisions. It is ideal for someone with strong industry ties who can confidently represent ATEC with customers in the field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new project opportunities and develop client relationships throughout the Gulf Coast
• Maintain and expand existing customer connections in the region
• Assist with estimates, bid follow-up, and contract negotiations
• Travel regularly to customer offices, bid walks, and trade shows
• Track leads, activities, and customer communications using our CRM system

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, outside sales, or related project roles in the oil & gas industry
• Strong network within the aboveground storage tank industry
• Confidence in customer-facing meetings and presentations
• Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working remotely
• Based in Greater Houston with ability to travel regionally
• Familiarity with API 650, API 653, AWWA, or ASME codes is a plus
• Professional demeanor with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles, build trust with decision-makers, and represent our company credibly
