Industrial Sales Specialist - Gulf - Data Center

Your role and responsibilities

The Industrial Sales Specialist will work closely with major players in the F&B, Data Centers, Renewable Energy, Water/Wastewater & Infrastructure market segments. The role involves building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, securing ABB ELIP products as preferred solutions, and driving profitability growth. The specialist will spend significant time visiting end-user customers and decision-makers to understand needs, applications, and specify ABB's products. The role requires executing the market plan, reporting, and maintaining contact with the Market Development Manager.

This position is remote but preferred to be located in the greater Dallas - Fort Worth metro area. It contributes to the Electrification Installation Products Division in the Gulf Region. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Market understanding: Identifying customer needs, proposing solutions from ABB ELIP portfolio, supporting sales with value propositions, researching market trends, and providing intelligence to support new opportunities.
  2. Customer relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and business growth.
  3. Specification development: Targeting and developing relationships with new end-users, engineering firms, OEMs, and decision makers to achieve specifications for ABB ELIP products.
  4. Training: Providing technical and CEU training to stakeholders internally and externally.
  5. Sales collaboration: Working with internal teams to align strategies and achieve sales targets through effective market strategies.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in business, marketing, engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in technical specification/product marketing in the electrical industry, preferably in Transportation & Industrial OEM markets.
  • Proven record in customer and business development, with experience in specification, visits, and training.
  • Ability to understand product applications and provide value-added solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
  • Existing work authorization for the U.S.
