Overview
We are an acquisition group focused on buying and scaling service-based businesses across the U.S. Our target companies generate $1M–$10M in revenue and $500K–$2M in EBITDA. Backed by experienced operators and capital partners, our top priority is expanding our deal pipeline.
Role
We are hiring a Business Development Manager who will own the deal sourcing function. Your job is to:
- Network with business brokers to uncover on-market opportunities
- Talk directly with business owners to generate off-market leads
- Fill and manage our acquisitions pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified deals
This role is for someone who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and moving quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Reach out to brokers, M&A advisors, and business owners
- Build and maintain a network of deal sources across the U.S.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities against our criteria
- Track pipeline activity in our CRM and provide weekly reporting
- Schedule and facilitate intro calls with sellers, advisors, and intermediaries
- Stay informed on trends in the service-based business space
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in B2B sales, business development, M&A outreach, or search fund sourcing
- Strong communication skills in phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Organized and consistent with follow-up
- Self-starter who takes ownership and delivers results
- Familiarity with CRMs, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outreach tools
- Bonus: prior exposure to acquisitions, brokerage, or investment analysis
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Background: Someone with B2B sales or business development experience who has sourced deals, built partnerships, or generated leads before.
- Could also be from M&A advisory, search funds, investment banking, or brokerage where they already have a network of business brokers and/or small business owners.
Mindset
- A hunter who enjoys outreach, making cold/warm introductions, and expanding networks.
- Comfortable with rejection but persistent in getting meetings.
- Thrives in high-autonomy roles where results matter more than daily handholding.
Skills
- Strong communicator on the phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Organized in using CRMs and tracking deal pipelines.
- Able to quickly qualify opportunities against acquisition criteria.
Compensation
- Base salary depending on experience
- Performance pay including bonuses for qualified deal introductions, LOIs, and closed deals
- Optional equity or revenue share in sourced deals
