Business Development Manager - Commercial

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of sales professionals to grow sales and capture new business.
  2. Build solid relationships with customers, vendors, distributors, and internal teams.
  3. Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable opportunities.
  4. Review sales data, trends, and competitors to optimize sales volume and product mix.
  5. Create sales action plans for new product launches and customer prospecting.
  6. Support marketing efforts by providing market and competitive insights.
  7. Prepare documentation for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  8. Research emerging trends and recommend new offerings to meet market needs.
  9. Develop and manage strategic partnerships to expand business.
  10. Evaluate and improve existing partnerships and sales strategies.
  11. Manage key client relationships and develop new ones.
  12. Build internal and external relationships to increase lead generation and market share.
  13. Build cross-functional teams to support sustainable growth.
  14. Track emerging markets and trends.
  15. Identify and develop new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  16. Advise on product development, distribution, and promotion strategies.
  17. Conduct presentations to enhance brand or product visibility.
Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years of business development experience in the epoxy or resin industry (commercial sales).
  • Existing contacts with at least 5 accounts generating over $5,000 each.
  • High School Diploma.
Preferred Skills
  • 2+ years of leadership managing sales teams.
  • Experience with sales strategies for new product launches.
  • Customer contact list within the resin industry.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
Additional Details
