  • 1st Bioanalytical BD hire, looking to scale the business across the US region.

About Our Client

This client is a full-service CDMO / CRO which supports Gene & Cell Therapy and is based out of the Greater Philadelphia Metro Area. The business has a staff of 125 across multiple labs and service offerings and anticipates high growth due to customer demand.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute both short- and long-term business development and marketing strategies aimed at achieving the company's growth and profitability objectives.
  • Lead high-level business development initiatives, including prospecting, meeting with potential clients, delivering presentations on company capabilities, negotiating contracts, and managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients.
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to target organizations for analytical platforms & bioanalytical services.
  • Collaborate closely with the scientific research team to ensure that potential and existing clients receive a seamless and responsive experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and outreach to prospective clients; maintain strong relationships with existing and past clients.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, particularly within the life sciences or contract research organization (CRO) industry.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and managing client relationships.
