Organics Market Manager/Business Development Manager (Virginia-Based)

Location: Virginia | Field-Based | Environmental Services

We are a national leader in organic waste recycling, transforming food and beverage byproducts into renewable value. Through cutting-edge anaerobic digestion facilities, we support a circular economy by converting organic waste into sustainable energy and nutrient-rich soil amendments.

The Opportunity

We are growing and looking for an Organics Market Manager in Virginia to join our field sales team. In this role, you will be the go-to expert in your territory, building relationships, identifying feedstock opportunities, and securing the materials that power our operations.

Note: This role is only open to Virginia residents with experience in the waste or environmental services industry.

The Role

  • Acquire and secure organic feedstock volumes for our anaerobic digestion facilities
  • Build and manage a pipeline of B2B prospects within your territory
  • Develop trust-based partnerships with key stakeholders — from plant managers to C-suite executives
  • Deliver tailored, consultative solutions that meet client needs
  • Own the full sales cycle: from prospecting and proposal to negotiation and contract
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and progress in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding
  • Represent our brand at industry events and trade shows
  • Use data and market insights to inform pricing and strategy

What You Bring

  • Experience in waste management or environmental services (required)
  • 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience
  • Proven ability to close complex deals and manage long sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a results-focused mindset
  • Willingness to travel at least 40% within Virginia
