Big Top manufactures and installs semi-permanent fabric structures that provide critical asset protection to customers in the military, infrastructure, construction, industrial, and commercial end markets. Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategic plans within the military sector that increase revenue and brand loyalty of our products. This role involves close collaboration with military sales and marketing to identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the military sector.

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Requirements

  • Researching, identifying, and planning new growth opportunities, strategies and initiatives at the program level of the federal government with an emphasis on military operations.
  • Discovering, developing, defining and closing business program level deals and partnerships.
  • Sales Tools and Technology: Implement and manage sales enablement tools and technologies to streamline sales processes and improve efficiency.
  • Identify and track program level key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and 3rd parties to align strategies and ensure consistent messaging, positioning, and strategy of the program.
  • Provide support to the base level military sales team when required including training on sector specific topics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and product developments to provide relevant insights and support to the military sales team.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in a Military sales environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales enablement tools and CRM software.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Communication, Graphic Design, or similar field required.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in sales and/or business development roles required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other platforms.

Physical Demands:

  • Must accurately exchange information with co-workers, management, customers, and vendors.
  • Occasionally moves files and boxes of records weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, and telephones.
  • Must be able to remain stationary for 80% of the time.
