Note: Only candidates with Metal Fabrication Manufacturing experience will be considered. Candidates with ConAg, Consumer, EPC, heavy truck, industrial, transportation, or utilities space sales experience are highly desired. This is a remote job opportunity.

The Business Development Manager is a hunter responsible for organizing and supporting all aspects of corporate business development and the go-to-market strategy (GTM), under the oversight of the sales & marketing leader. This includes leading sales and client-relationship management (primarily new accounts, with some current business involvement), tracking new markets and emerging trends, recommending new products and services, proposing and developing strategic partnerships, writing proposals and plans, and guiding long-term objectives to meet business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting business ethically and in compliance with company rules and procedures.
  • Building strong interdepartmental relationships across all levels.
  • Leading sales programs to be results-oriented and goal-driven.
  • Setting targets and strategies for business development, monitoring progress, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Collaborating with leadership, marketing, and sales teams to align efforts.
  • Developing a data-driven business development process and engaging stakeholders in strategic planning.
  • Leading product/process development workshops to explore market growth opportunities.
  • Analyzing performance across platforms and markets to derive actionable insights.
  • Implementing strategies to increase revenue, market penetration, and profitability, while maximizing current platform capabilities and identifying new product needs.
  • Supporting marketing strategies for targeted markets.
  • Promoting customer-centric programs and enhancing brand visibility through various channels.
  • Serving as key account manager for designated accounts until reassigned.

Education and Experience

Required: An associate degree in engineering, science, or business, or equivalent work experience (minimum 8 years in market development and analysis).

  • At least 5 years managing and implementing business development systems and leading indirect teams.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following: business development or account management, market growth strategies, or managing complex projects.
  • Experience supervising technical project teams.
  • Knowledge of Utilities & Industrial markets, preferably in EV and Solar sectors.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or marketing.

  • Experience developing bottom-up business strategies.
  • Experience rolling out major projects and processes.
  • Knowledge of industries served: Automotive, Truck, Watercraft, Recreational, Construction, Wastewater, Industrial.
