About the Role

We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our proprietary hardware and software product line across the U.S. payments landscape. This is a hunter-style role focused on acquiring new channel partners, particularly ISOs, Processors, and large payment solution providers. You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline, negotiating complex deals, and driving meaningful revenue through new relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Partner Acquisition: Acquire new partner relationships to expand market coverage and drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Targeted Prospecting: Proactively identify, engage, and sign ISOs, Processors, and payment solution providers to expand our distribution network.
  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage all aspects of the partner acquisition lifecycle—from pipeline development and pitching to negotiation and onboarding.
  • Pipeline Prioritization: Focus on high-value opportunities with strong revenue potential and strategic fit.
  • Partner Enablement: Effectively communicate and position our customizable hardware/software offerings through demos, co-branded materials, and tailored proposals.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Build trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders to maximize lifetime partner value and unlock expansion opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence: Track industry trends, partner needs, and competitor strategies; share insights with internal teams to inform product and GTM direction.
  • Sales Reporting & Tools: Maintain accurate tracking of pipeline, activities, and KPIs using Salesforce or equivalent CRM tools. Report on progress and forecasts regularly.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or agent roles, with a strong record of net new partner acquisition.
  • Must have direct experience working with ISOs and/or payment processors.
  • Track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas, especially in “hunter” or partnership acquisition roles.
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem: terminal hardware, SaaS integrations, merchant onboarding, and transaction processing models.
  • Excellent cold-calling, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
