East Coast Business Development Manager

Summary

The ideal candidate will be a results-driven Business Development Manager with a focus on expanding market presence and driving sales for Morin Architectural Single Element Metal Roof and Wall Panel Systems. Expertise in generating new business for the company through strong relationships with Architects, Developers, General Contractors, and Building Owners to drive specifications and sales. Proven ability to leverage technical knowledge, industry insights, and relationship-building skills to enhance collaboration, increase product adoption, and contribute to company growth. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills.

Essential Duties

  • Identify partnership opportunities
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including Architects, General Contractors, and Building Owners, to promote demand and drive specifications for Morin Systems.
  • Deliver AIA-approved presentations to educate stakeholders on the benefits and applications of Morin Systems; create new project specification opportunities, expand professional networks, and elevate brand awareness.
  • Continuously invest in developing deep technical knowledge of Morin Systems applications and products; leverage this expertise to have impactful conversations with key industry players and drive sales growth.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Independent Sales Representatives to execute a "pull-through" sales strategy, enhancing field sales efforts and ensuring consistent market penetration.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to effectively manage sales territory, grow and maintain a database of Architects and clients, track and prioritize opportunity pipeline, and record daily activities to optimize sales performance.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Architecture, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven success in outside B2B sales, preferably in the building envelope industry, with experience in driving product specifications for Pre-Engineered systems, ACM, insulated/metal panels, exterior wall systems, and roofing solutions.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret project specifications, addendums, special provisions, and other construction-related documents, ensuring alignment with product offerings and customer needs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including executives, design teams, and industry organizations.
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Highly self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Single Element Architectural Metal Panels is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience is preferred.

Computer Skills

Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a strong ability to create reports, presentations, and manage data effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
