Job summary

Elwood Staffing in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to identify leads, qualify opportunities, and present tailored solutions to clients. This role involves 60–70% local travel, auto allowance provided, and a path to new accounts through cross-functional collaboration and strong negotiation skills.

You will drive proposals, onboard clients, and work with our service teams to ensure service delivery.

Qualifications

• Outside sales or new account development experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• A valid driver's license is required for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify leads, qualify opportunities, create proposals, present to clients, and form new partnerships.
• Local travel 60–70% throughout the week with auto allowance; work is not remote.
• Present customized solutions aligned with client needs and drive negotiations.
• Close deals and onboard new accounts while coordinating with a service team for delivery.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

• Identify leads, qualify prospective business, create proposals, present to clients, and create new sustainable business partnerships.
• Local travel 60-70% throughout the week - auto allowance provided! (This is not remote)
• Present customized solutions that demonstrate a clear understanding of the prospective client's business needs.
• Actively drive negotiations, close, and onboard new accounts while working with a service team to provide service delivery.

Business Development Manager Qualifications:

• Outside sales or new account business development experience is preferred but not required!
• Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A valid driver's license is required for this role to travel between the branch and prospect/client locations.
