About Our Client
Our Client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join its team in the Greenville, South Carolina area. This position will play an important role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strong client relationships, expanding the company's network, and implementing effective sales strategies.
The Business Development Manager will support business development initiatives for Our Client's Greenville and Columbia area locations and will be based out of the Greenville-area location.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing and prospective clients.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to sales and relationship development. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, building professional relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing directly to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned market.
- Develop strategies to generate new leads and expand the customer base.
- Research potential customers and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Develop new relationships through networking, referrals, outreach, and other business development activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen market presence.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs and business objectives.
- Develop trust and credibility through professional and responsive communication.
- Follow up consistently with prospective and existing customers.
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships and generate additional business.
- Address customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
Sales & Business Growth
- Implement effective sales and business development strategies.
- Present Our Client's products and services to prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
- Develop opportunities from initial contact through the sales process.
- Work toward established business development and revenue objectives.
- Support growth initiatives across the Greenville and Columbia markets.
Networking & Market Development
- Represent Our Client professionally when interacting with prospective customers and business partners.
- Develop and maintain a strong professional network within the assigned territory.
- Participate in networking and business development opportunities.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and potential growth opportunities.
- Build relationships that contribute to long-term business development.
Administrative & Technology Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, customer interactions, and business development activities.
- Use computers, applications, and business software to manage day-to-day responsibilities.
- Learn and utilize new programs, applications, and technology as required.
- Manage multiple projects and business development activities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Provide updates regarding business development activities and opportunities as needed.
Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are properly addressed.
- Coordinate business development activities between the Greenville and Columbia area locations.
- Communicate customer requirements and opportunities to the appropriate internal personnel.
- Support company-wide initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in business development, sales, account management, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to business development.
