For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $89,600.00-$134,400.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range applies to candidates within the United States. Our salary ranges are based on similar roles and levels, with individual pay influenced by performance, skills, experience, and education. Job Summary

Schneider Electric seeks a Business Development Manager for the H&D Surge Team in the Central territory. Responsible for sales attainment of surge protective devices (SPDs) through distributor partners and direct accounts, managing all sales resources to promote products and markets.

Essential Functions
  • Achieve sales quotas via active territory management.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans with sales teams.
  • Create and present quarterly sales playbooks.
  • Perform technical product presentations and demos.
  • Train and motivate sales partners.
  • Drive specifications with engineers and collaborate with teams.
  • Support distributor and customer relationships.
  • Utilize company databases for customer and project management.
  • Assist with product forecasting and marketing plans.
  • Spend 50-60% of time in customer-facing visits within the territory.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop product solutions based on customer interactions.
  • Understand market hierarchy, overcome objections, provide technical support.
  • Promote Schneider Electric’s professional image.
  • Manage travel and expenses within guidelines.
Interactions
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams, engineers, and production.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Residence within the territory, able to work remotely.
  • Basic electrical fundamentals and knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Ability to conduct technical presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or five years relevant electrical industry experience.
Competencies
  • Excellent communication, organized, self-starter.
