Fluid Management Technology (FMT) is an innovative Australian tech company serving the commercial fuel industry. We design and manufacture cloud-connected systems that help businesses manage and monitor fuel usage with precision and reliability. After strong success in Australia, we're growing fast in the US, with operations based out of Michigan.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to continue growing our presence in the Southern US, focusing on Texas. If you're a self-starter with a technical mindset who enjoys building partnerships and making an impact — this role could be for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Identify, recruit, and support fuel industry distributors and manufacturer reps

• Deliver product demos, hands-on training, and sales enablement

• Work both inbound and outbound leads (approx. 60% provided, 40% self-generated)

• Attend industry trade shows and follow up on leads from the PEI directory and other sources

• Manage your sales pipeline, prepare forecasts, and contribute to regional growth strategy

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 1–3 years of B2B sales experience (ideally in industrial or technical products)
  • Experience (or strong interest) in managing distributors or reps
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Technically comfortable - you may have built a PC, installed smart tech, or supported hardware/software
  • Based in Texas, Louisiana, or Alabama - or open to relocation
  • Able to travel 50% of the time across the region
  • Your own reliable vehicle
  • Remote-ready: home office setup, self-managed, and organised
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Nice-to-haves:
  • Background in electronics, IT, or commercial fuel equipment
  • CRM and database experience
  • Trade show and channel sales exposure (e.g., PEI)

What You’ll Get

• Base salary of $90,000–$110,000 + uncapped commission

• Reimbursed travel (vehicle mileage or flights)
