Job Overview

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for promoting and selling gear and centrifugal pumps across diverse segments in North America. The role involves developing new business opportunities, leveraging prospecting methods, and applying solution-based selling practices. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, self-motivated team member, acting as a trusted advisor and building business in new and existing markets.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop strategic business plans with internal teams to penetrate markets and grow distributor networks.
  2. Collaborate with distributors to identify prospects and pursue new business.
  3. Lead pricing negotiations, technical specifications, and quotation processes for significant deals.
  4. Use CRM to track inquiries, quotes, bids, and customer interactions.
  5. Engage with customers in person and virtually, delivering presentations.
  6. Monitor and communicate low or eroding margins due to competitive pricing.
  7. Provide feedback on territory, customer needs, and competitive offerings.
  8. Qualify leads and conduct regular business reviews for performance improvement.
  9. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of sales experience.
  2. Experience managing large channel partners with sales over $250,000 annually.
  3. Experience in technical and solution sales related to gear and centrifugal pumps is preferred.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP software.
  5. High energy and commitment to achieving goals.

  2. Technical Sales: Ability to assess applications and recommend solutions.
  3. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Effective collaboration with various stakeholders, including engineering and management.
Preferences
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  2. Experience traveling extensively and working with distributors.
Travel & Work Arrangements

Remote position with up to 50% travel based on needs.

Pay Range

$100,000 - $130,000 plus bonuses and incentives.
