Business Development Manager, West Coast

Main Duties & Responsibilities

This is a fully remote role with regional travel up to 60%

Position Summary:

Manages sales in the assigned geographical region and key account relationships. Protects existing business and grows sales with existing and prospective customers in the region. Leads business development initiatives to penetrate key accounts and product categories, setting and maintaining strategies for these customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Meet and exceed sales objectives in the assigned region.
  2. Develop relationships with assigned account targets.
  3. Formulate strategies and plans to grow business within specified customers, markets, or regions.
  4. Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline to measure success.
  5. Understand and communicate market trends and competition in the region.
  6. Secure contracts for new projects to ensure growth.
  7. Gather and analyze data related to customer and prospect interactions.
  8. Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Regional travel up to 60%.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5-10 years of business development experience.
  • Proven success in growing sales and building client relationships.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Skills in pipeline management, forecasting, sales planning, and territory management.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and market analysis skills.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, ERP), CRM experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, handle ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities.
