Responsibilities

This position involves contributing to the development and implementation of company strategy, with a specific focus on managing the small trucking distribution system.

  1. Develop and expand the small trucking wholesale agency distribution network.
  2. Recommend new programs, products, and lines of business; evaluate their potential profitability.
  3. Communicate underwriting appetite, new products, services, and coverages to agents and brokers.
  4. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key agencies, insureds, and industry associations.
  5. Monitor agents and brokers' performance against profitability, production, and service objectives; collaborate with Underwriting on appointments and terminations.
  6. Manage agency/broker contracts according to guidelines.
  7. Analyze competitor and industry trends; report on marketplace activities.
  8. Work with Underwriting to make data-driven decisions.
  9. Create and distribute marketing materials as needed.
  10. Oversee advertising and promotional activities; manage marketing/advertising budgets.
  11. Host visiting wholesalers, plan itineraries, and coordinate with company personnel.

May perform other functions as assigned

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant commercial insurance experience.
  • Deep understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance industry and market dynamics.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Advanced analytical and reasoning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in large, matrixed environments with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to challenges and opportunities.
Education
  • College degree or equivalent experience.

  • Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
  • Benefits include health, dental, annual bonus potential, vision, life, disability, wellness programs, paid time off, 401(k), and profit-sharing plans.

Salary will depend on factors such as role scope, candidate skills and experience, and location. Additional requirements include travel up to 25%.
