Location: Chicago, IL

Working model: Chicago office-based during onboarding, with increased flexibility as you become established
Role type: Full-time | Individual Contributor | Full Sales Cycle
HF Global is partnering with a fast-growing European logistics software business as it builds out its commercial presence in the United States.
The company has already scaled successfully across Europe and has proven demand for its platform in the US. It is now investing directly into the Chicago market and is looking for a Business Development Manager to become one of the first dedicated commercial hires on the ground.
This is an opportunity to join an established, growing software company while still gaining the ownership and exposure normally associated with joining a new market at an early stage.
Despite the Business Development Manager title, this is not a BDR management or lead-generation-only position. It is an individual contributor, full-cycle sales role with responsibility for building your own pipeline, running discovery, demonstrating the platform, managing the sales process and closing new business.
The business provides a cloud-based Transport Management System used by trucking, logistics, carrier and freight businesses.
Its platform helps customers manage their transport operations more efficiently, bringing workflows together within one system and using automation to reduce manual administrative processes.
Having built a strong position across its existing European markets, the company is now replicating that growth strategy in the US, initially focusing heavily on Chicago and the surrounding logistics market.
You will take ownership of new business development across the Chicago market and help establish the company's long-term US presence.
Your responsibilities will include:
There is currently no dedicated SDR supporting this position, so you must be comfortable creating pipeline yourself as well as closing the opportunities you generate.
We are particularly interested in people who have developed strong outbound sales fundamentals and are now looking for greater ownership of the full sales process.
You could currently be a:
Ideally, you will have:
Previous closing experience is advantageous, but we are also open to strong BDRs/SDRs who have demonstrated consistent performance and are ready to progress into their first genuine full-cycle closing position.
Experience selling into logistics, transportation, supply chain, fleet, field service, operations, ERP, warehouse or other operationally complex environments would be particularly relevant, although direct TMS experience is not essential.
This role offers an unusual combination of early-stage opportunity and established-company backing.
You will be joining the US operation early enough to have genuine influence over how the market develops, while working for a business that has already successfully scaled its product and commercial model elsewhere.
You can expect:
For someone who enjoys outbound sales, wants greater ownership and is looking for the opportunity to become an early commercial contributor within a growing US operation, this is a particularly exciting point to join.
Please note: this search is being conducted confidentially, so the company name will be disclosed during the initial interview process.
