Job summary

ECAM is seeking a Proposal Writer to develop compliant, compelling proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. You will work with sales, operations, finance, and legal to craft materials that communicate ECAM's value and align with client requirements.

You will translate complex services into client-focused messaging, maintain a content library, and help with go/no-go decisions and post-submission improvements. This role emphasizes accuracy, branding, and strategic storytelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a commercial service industry such as security, janitorial, property management, or landscaping.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in proposal writing, business writing, or grant writing.
• Proven experience managing multiple proposals and priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic graphic design or desktop publishing skills for visual formatting and branded presentations, with an emphasis on Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, writing, editing, and formatting of proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation.
• Interpret solicitation requirements and ensure compliant, accurate, and timely submissions.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to gather, synthesize, and incorporate content.

Job Summary

The Proposal Writer role supports business development initiatives by developing compelling, compliant, and customized proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs. This position works closely with cross-functional teams—including sales, operations, finance, and legal—to produce strategic proposals that communicate the organization’s value proposition and align with client requirements. The role plays an important function in supporting revenue growth and strengthening the company’s position in a competitive market. He or she will also produce other sales-related materials as needed.
