Position: Business Development Director

As a Business Development Director, you will collaborate with the center operations team to develop a strategic plan for the center. Your plans should prioritize physicians based on proprietary ECO (Every Case Optimized) System database, which enables each center to determine their optimal case mix.

Location: Remote - Minneapolis/St. Paul MN (or nearby). Candidates must be local.

Responsibilities:
  1. Strategically define targets via the MDetective program for the recruitment plan, in coordination with center operations and physician leadership, to optimize success.
  2. Partner with the operations team to determine a value proposition for the center based on local market position and the type of physicians being pursued.
  3. Leverage existing contacts within the healthcare community to access productive physicians, whether established or new to the area.
  4. Collaborate with leadership, clinical staff, and physicians to recruit new physicians.
  5. Oversee credentialing and onboarding processes for new physicians, especially during their initial cases.
  6. Disseminate best sales and marketing practices across the region.
  7. Meet established sales quotas and drive results consistently.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Extensive sales and business development experience in healthcare, including medical devices, healthcare Management Service Organizations, hospital systems, or large Physician groups.
  • At least 5+ years in a sales role working directly with physicians.
  • Understanding of the ASC business model through direct or indirect experience (e.g., device rep) is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
  • Leadership experience, with ability to work with teams and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, utilizing contacts and resources to achieve objectives.
  • Strong tracking and reporting skills to monitor progress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to synthesize information for reporting to senior executives.
  • Self-awareness, emotional maturity, and receptiveness to feedback.
  • Experience with sales force startup is preferred.
