Job Summary

The Business Development Representative acts as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Account Manager's role is to generate demand for the facility’s services through ethical marketing and sales strategies. Collaborating with the Director of Business Development and the team, the representative promotes a positive public image of the facility within the community.

The role involves implementing the strategic sales plan, enhancing the facility’s brand and image, managing assigned territories and accounts, and achieving business development goals. The candidate must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment.

Hours vary based on departmental and facility needs, including day, evening, and weekend shifts, as directed by the Director of Business Development.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field required; experience may substitute for education on a case-by-case basis.
  • Prior marketing or sales experience in behavioral healthcare preferred. At least three years of documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Knowledge of the Southeast behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets, referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatments, and age-specific programming is preferred.
