Garney Construction is seeking a Business Development Coordinator in Kansas City, MO to support our national business development initiatives and activities. The successful candidate will have an understanding of business development/sales activities and prior conference and event planning experience. Some travel required.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Coordinate company involvement with national trade conferences, including attendee registration, hotel reservations, exhibitor booth registration, sponsorship, and travel to conferences.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee client events, including strategy, theme, venue, catering, etc.
  • Maintain registration of the company’s national trade organization memberships.
  • Manage company’s promotional items, including research/selection of items, soliciting pricing, and managing inventory.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong work and personal ethics, self-motivated, and results-driven.
