GENERAL PRODUCE DISTRIBUTION COMPANY, LLC, a leading wholesale produce distributor, is seeking an energetic Business Development Associate in the Chico region, CA. The role involves in-person customer interactions to expand our Northern & Central California territory and build lasting relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a sales environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; two years of college in sales/business/marketing preferred.
• Must hold a valid California driver license with fewer than two points on DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Full time, Monday–Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
• Customer service: Primary focus on in-person interactions to develop new business.
• Marketing & Management: Identify and pursue new accounts to generate profitable business.
• Communication: Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Product Support: Advise customers on products based on needs, recommending substitutions when applicable.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain understanding of available products and stay informed on market conditions.

Key Business Development Associate Job Responsibilities

• License (Required):Maintain a valid California Driver License with less than two pointson DMV record.
• Communication: Professionaloral and written communication skills.
• Work Ethic and Reliability: Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and effective time management.
