Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development & Partnership Manager to drive growth across our dual-service offering: consulting services and innovative software solutions for impact measurement and storytelling. This role will be instrumental in expanding our client base among foundations, multilaterals, nonprofits, and corporate social impact teams while building strategic partnerships that amplify our reach and capabilities.

ImpactMapper operates at the intersection of social impact consulting and cutting-edge technology. We specialise in evaluation and research for social impact initiatives, supported by our proprietary software platform that transforms qualitative and quantitative data and helps to communicate and visualise their social impact.

ImpactMapper helps groups tell their impact stories with data and share the stories that matter most. Our clients rely on us to measure, understand, and communicate their social and environmental impact effectively. We work with the top brands that value human rights and social justice. Responsibilities
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across foundation, multilateral, nonprofit, and corporate sectors
  • Conduct sales calls and presentations to prospective clients
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and partnerships
  • Negotiate bulk license agreements for our software platform
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations
Proposal and Grant Writing
  • Prepare compelling bids for consulting engagements
  • Write and submit grant proposals to foundations and government agencies
  • Develop business development proposals for new client opportunities
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals accurately reflect our capabilities
  • Maintain proposal templates and improve win rates through continuous refinement
Partnership Development
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with complementary organisations
  • Negotiate partnership agreements that create mutual value
  • Develop co-marketing and co-delivery partnerships
  • Manage existing partnerships to maximise joint opportunities
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events
Revenue Growth
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop pricing strategies for both consulting services and software licenses
  • Track and analyse sales metrics to optimise conversion rates
  • Work closely with leadership to set growth targets and strategies
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Development, Public Policy, or related field, Masters´ Preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and closing deals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience writing proposals, bids, or grant applications
  • Strong understanding of the social impact, nonprofit, or foundation sectors
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Self-motivated with strong project management skills
Preferred
  • Experience working with foundations, multilaterals, or impact-focused organisations
  • Knowledge of impact measurement and evaluation methodologies
  • Experience with software sales or SaaS business models
  • Background in international development or social impact consulting
  • Existing network within the social impact ecosystem
  • Experience with Hubspot, Google Analytics, and other sales analytics tools
