Job summary

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is seeking a hands-on Business Data Analyst to translate business needs into BI solutions.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams to define requirements, build dashboards, and drive data-driven decisions across risk and operations. You will partner with stakeholders to establish KPIs, design reports, and mentor teams in data literacy while supporting Agile Scrum practices and ensuring high-quality data delivery to improve strategic

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience.
• 5+ Years of Business Data Analyst Experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Strong critical thinking & problem-solving competency with the ability to research complex data-oriented problems.
• Proactive and results-driven with a positive can-do attitude.
• Excels in a team environment (distributed).

Responsibilities

• Understand the business at a level of detail to identify and address critical issues.
• Work with clients to determine business requirements priorities, define KPI, and support BI & Data Warehouse strategy.
• Engage business and development teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Accountable for providing project leadership including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of management.
• Conduct analysis of functional processes and drive user stories in an Agile Scrum Team.
• Educate and train clients to use data as an analytical tool for exploration.
• Influence is limited to area of specialization and unit/team.
