Key Responsibilities:
- Program Planning and Execution: Develop and implement plans to monitor execution, align with strategic goals, and prioritize projects to maximize resource efficiency. Facilitate multi-year roadmap discussions with program leaders.
- Portfolio Management: Establish a process for project visibility and funding alignment, oversee interdependencies for timely delivery, and develop effective roadmaps.
- Strategy Implementation and Communication: Translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans, create communication materials for leadership, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Budget and Risk Management: Manage project budgets, identify gaps, resolve conflicts, and promote proactive solutions.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Collaborate with actuarial leaders to report project status, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and ensure effective communication among leadership and sponsors.
- Vendor and Resource Management: Evaluate vendor deliverables, liaise with external partners, manage resource commitments, and recommend prioritization.
- Team Accountability and Standards Development: Foster accountability, mentor team members, and implement standardized project management methodologies across units.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex programs and integrate multiple projects.
- Effective interpersonal skills for engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Capacity to influence change and drive initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management.
- Financial services experience required; insurance experience preferred.
- Project Management Certification strongly preferred; industry designations such as CPCU are a plus.
This position will be filled at the G3 pay band. It offers a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office in Columbus, OH, Scottsdale, AZ, or Des Moines, IA) or fully remote.
