Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation, a community and commercial bank, is seeking a Team Lead, Business Banking in Minnesota to drive acquisition, retention and expansion of loans, deposits and treasury relationships. You will oversee annual goals, ensure high credit quality and exceptional service while managing a portfolio of commercial relationships up to $30M, including CRE and C&I deals.

A Bachelor's in finance/business and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ commercial lending, commercial credit, and portfolio management experience focusing on both Commercial Real Estate and C&I deals.
• Solid understanding of general credit and risk principles, mitigates, and banking policies/procedures; formal bank credit training is preferred.
• Prior experience managing a diverse portfolio and complex commercial relationships within the business banking or middle market space.

Responsibilities

• Manage the department’s annual goals tied to loan and deposit volume, cross-sales, call planning/prospecting, fee income generation and the recording off all activities in CRM
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships with businesses with annual revenue up to $30M
• Take ownership of the overall quality of the loans generated or renewed within the department
• Manage the department’s involvement in the bank’s community, bank events held during and after hours
• Manage the department’s impact on the bank’s CRA goals
• Maintain exemplary portfolio management within the department
