Job summary

Chase is seeking a Business Relationship Manager I for our Business Banking team in New Jersey. You will manage a portfolio of 70–90 business clients, building relationships and delivering tailored financial solutions, education, and advice to help their businesses grow.

You will identify opportunities, collaborate with partners across lines of business, and uphold risk management practices while providing excellent client experiences in a branch-focused, relationship-driven role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
• General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
• Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
• Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalat or handle independently
• Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients' behalf and follow through with commitment
• Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million for your assigned branches; provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000
• Deliver outstanding Chase business banking experiences with tailored financial solutions
• Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client and ensure the profitability of the portfolio
• Regularly conduct in-person calls with prospects, COIs, and clients at their locations; follow a disciplined relationship development process and review strategies with manager
• Identify and pursue potential new business clients, cultivating long-term primary banking relationships
• Identify personal financial goals of business clients; connect them with specialists across lines of business
• Provide leadership by supporting branches and adhering to risk management and regulatory requirements
