The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of State Police, Business and Project Administration Unit, has a full-time vacancy for a Business and Project Administration Unit Assistant (Program Assistant II), SOC Title 43-9060 OFC CLERKS GENERAL-4. This position has a 37.5 hour work week and is considered non-exempt.
Summary: To perform paraprofessional duties in support of the Business and Project Administration Unit within the Division of State Police by performing duties related to the management of Facilities, Telecommunications, and Fleet Management Programs. To assist with programmatic and operational duties in support of unit core team members, troop stations, and the headquarters facility management section.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 2.5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in the fields of business, communications, public administration or a related field.
License/Certification: None
Other Requirements: Must pass a comprehensive background check in addition to a fingerprint-based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
Trainee Option: Candidates with an equivalent combination of 1.5+ years of relevant education and experience after completion of high school may be considered and hired in ‘trainee status’ for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in customer service or multi-tasking operations preferred.

Responsibilities:
Assists with the preparation and maintenance of the Division’s Fleet Management program and information such as processing registrations, repairs and approvals for payables. Recommends policy and procedural changes or alternate work methods to improve the flow of work.
Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of support of the Division’s sworn personnel ID badge program, the vehicle registration program and the facility security systems and policies training program, for the Business and Project Administration Unit.
Prepares and processes Telecommunication Service Requests for all voice and data communications requirements for the Division including the collection, maintenance, and release of information and acts as liaison to DoIT Statewide Telecommunications; assists with end user training as required. Builds access control and voice/data communication services for the Division.
Prepares and processes cellular services requests for the Division, to include preparing and processing vendor work orders/service requests for voice and data communications requirements. Supervises vendor services and support to ensure services adhere to contract specifications and program objectives.
Reviews, monitors, and maintains monthly billing and utilization reports for all voice and data services for the Division. Recommends policy or procedural changes or alternate work methods to improve the flow of work.
Manages, monitors, and oversees all electronic building access control and video monitoring systems, vendor management, end user training, policies and procedures for the Division. Prepares specialized information and reports pertaining to electronic building processes for use by superior in assessing and developing policies and procedures.
Manages, monitors and oversees all Facility Maintenance Service Requests, planning, vendor management, policies and procedures for the Division. Presents information to clarify policies, procedures and standards.
Completes special projects as assigned in an accurate and timely manner ensuring that assignments of a sensitive nature are kept confidential at all times.
