Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to independently gather and document requirements, translate them into functional artifacts, and support project delivery across multiple initiatives. The role collaborates with business leaders, IT, and QA to ensure alignment with objectives and proper testing.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years in business analysis or related fields; CCBA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience independently eliciting, documenting, validating, and managing business requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to evaluate processes, identify gaps, and improve.
• Facilitation skills to lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements discussions.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and artifacts.
• Maintain requirements traceability and support validation throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with QA and stakeholders to align testing and resolve defects.
• Document reporting, data, and measurement requirements for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to business case development by identifying benefits, costs, and risks.
• Gather, document, validate, and manage business requirements for projects.
• Translate needs into functional requirements and artifacts for delivery.
• Create BRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain RTM and ensure traceability through design, testing, and implementation.
• Prioritize requirements and manage scope to align with business objectives.
