Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Business Analyst II to support the Billing Services department in Missouri. The role focuses on defining business and functional requirements, liaising with owners and release managers, and delivering high-quality documentation for development teams.

You will collaborate with developers, testers, and business users to ensure requirements are clear and aligned with project goals, while coordinating testing and user acceptance activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Prior Business Analyst and project life-cycle experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access or relational databases is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of business processes and development life cycle preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience typical.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑starter and able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in review, revisions, changes, enhancements, testing, documentation, and member notification of product enhancements and/or business opportunities.
  • Provide business knowledge and technical support for requirements development.
  • Work closely with developers and requesters to identify data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems.
  • Ensure development objectives are accomplished; user testing is performed; and member notification is prepared in a timely fashion.
  • Consult with Business Owners on projects.
  • Develop and participate in the review of business and functional requirements and determine primary functions that the project is to provide.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Document and coordinate changes and enhancements of products and services. Prepare and/or present documentation of business/technical presentations.
  • Provide technical support for the member(s) to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility; work with Software Engineers to define alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Ensure methodology compliance; document problem areas and coordinate resolutions; report to management as necessary and investigate/research MasterCard or industry business/technical process.
  • Coordinate and document project/release level user acceptance testing.

Job Overview

The Billing Services department provides centralized billing for products and services billed to our customers using the MasterCard Consolidated Billing System (MCBS). Our mission is to provide core billing services, drive billing assurance, provide value added services, and enable growth as MasterCard advances commerce globally. Partner with business owners and release manager/lead to understand new business opportunities and define the business and functional requirements. Deliver high quality business and functional requirements to the development teams for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle.

Compensation & Benefits

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
