Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Director of Business Analysis to lead the BP team within the GBSC Financial Systems group, driving strategic initiatives across product delivery, M&A implementations, and ongoing operations. You will translate business needs into scalable solutions, manage complex cross-functional programs, and partner with Product, Technology, Finance, and Operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, information systems, technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Program Management, Product Operations, or related functions.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Significant experience leading large-scale cross‑functional initiatives and complex business transformations.
  • Strong project management and organizational leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Partnerships team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance leadership.
  • Establish team priorities aligned with organizational objectives and product strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships across Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, and Customer-facing teams.
  • Oversee the analysis, planning, and implementation of strategic product initiatives impacting billing and operational processes.
  • Ensure business requirements are accurately documented, validated, and translated into actionable deliverables.
  • Manage cross-functional project execution from concept through implementation and post-launch stabilization.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
  • Lead business analysis activities supporting M&A integrations across acquired products, services, and platforms.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure successful onboarding of acquired businesses into Mastercard operational and billing frameworks.
  • Establish implementation roadmaps, integration plans, and governance structures for M&A initiatives.
  • Monitor integration progress and drive resolution of complex operational and system challenges.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate and standardize ongoing M&A operational activities.
  • Develop scalable processes and operational models that enable the transfer of M&A support activities into the Revenue Operations Excellence (ROE) organization.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation, standardization, and process redesign.
  • Establish documentation, controls, and support models to ensure sustainable operational ownership.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Present project status, risks, recommendations, and business outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate decision-making and alignment across multiple business functions.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, issue management, and escalation processes are in place for strategic initiatives.

Title and Summary Director Business Analysis Overview The Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) Financial Systems organization is establishing an enterprise Order Management (OM) platform capability and operating model within GBSC. The Director, Business Analysis will lead the Business Partnerships (BP) team, providing strategic leadership and oversight across three primary areas: 1. Product-Specific Project Delivery 2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Implementations 3. Ongoing M&A Operational Support This role serves as a critical liaison between Product, Billing Operations, Technology, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives while driving operational standardization and scalability. The successful candidate will provide leadership to a team of business analysts and project resources responsible for translating business requirements into operational solutions, managing complex cross-functional initiatives, and establishing repeatable processes that support growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Mastercard Billing Systems (MCBS), strong project and program management experience, and a demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex business and operational transformations

Role Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Technical & Functional Expertise
  • Deep understanding of Mastercard Billing Systems (MCBS) and billing operations processes.
  • Experience defining business requirements, process models, operational controls, and implementation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle, revenue operations, and operational support frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and traditional project delivery methodologies.
  • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Ranges O'Fallon, Missouri: $152,000 - $258,000 USD
