Job summary

Park Place Technologies in Highland Heights, OH seeks a Business Analyst II to partner with stakeholders, gather requirements, design processes, and develop use cases across company-wide applications. You will support testing and post-production issues within a PMI-guided framework.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements with SMEs and define functional and reporting needs.
• Produce and maintain project deliverables including entity models and detailed specs.

Business Analyst II

The Business Analyst II role is a Mid-level position that will work with key business stakeholders and be responsible for the requirements gathering, business process design, development of use cases, testing, and post production support of the company wide business applications. Must demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of Business Process workflow and a thorough understanding of the Information Technology development process. Project management responsibilities will be required on a limited basis and include providing coordination of all activities pertaining to project planning, estimating, resource allocation, software development, project status reporting, problem resolution and collaboration with key stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

• Determine business functional and reporting requirements with key subject matter experts (SMEs) through a variety of interviewing and facilitation techniques
• Utilize defined requirements gathering and analysis standards to produce business analysis deliverables.
• Produce/maintain project deliverables including entity model diagrams, detailed program specifications and project plans.
• Validate design with users by providing proof of concept of proposed solutions.
• Interact with technical architecture team on complex application implementations
• Provide the development team with Business System subject matter expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in the management of the project lifecycle utilizing PMI’s project management framework
• Define, implement and enforce standards and methodologies that pertain to quality, consistency, and accuracy of project design, development, testing and implementation.
• Perform unit and systems testing.
• Plan, coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing
• Manage system support to identify, provide technical expertise, track, and resolve system issues with users, technical resources and vendors
• Monitors IT Intake queue for requests related to their application and works with IT Development resources to categorize requests as less than or greater than 100 hours of effort.
• Collaborates with Business Requestors to create a business cases for presentations at IT Steering committees.
• Develop business cases in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
• Facilitate training/onboarding plans for new hires and employees as needed.
• Mentor BA Is as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience in a business environment where analysis, systems design and project management for medium and large application development projects was experienced.
• Minimum 5 year of experience in business analysis, systems design and project management.
• Full project life cycle experience is mandatory.
• Has a good working knowledge of system integrations and data modeling.
• Demonstrated excellent understanding of business workflow.
• Understanding of how technical solutions will fit into Park Place’s infrastructure.
• Ability to effectively work and interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Understand concepts of software development lifecycle.
• Project management skills.
• Experience in conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
