Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Business Analyst to guide Agile software development on federal and commercial Health-industry projects. You will lead requirements elicitation, translate business needs into technical artifacts, and collaborate with Product Owners to refine the backlog.

The role involves liaising with client stakeholders, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring clear functional and non-functional requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
US Citizenship or Green Card required.
Four (4) or more years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum environments and translating business needs into technical artifacts.

Responsibilities

Guide Agile software development projects for federal and commercial Health-industry clients.
Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
Translate business needs into user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
Partner with Product Owners to manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog.
Liaise between client stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Define and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Support solution design discussions with business and system-level insights.
Identify and manage requirements risks, dependencies, assumptions, and impacts.
Support testing, defect triage, and user acceptance activities.
Contribute to project planning, estimation, and delivery reporting.
Mentor junior analysts and share team knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

US Citizenship or a Green card is required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust
A bachelor’s degree is required
Four (4) or more years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects
Demonstrated experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Experience translating business needs into technical artifacts (user stories, workflows, data requirements, APIs)
Experience defining, prioritizing, and delivering data-driven product capabilities leveraging modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks
Must be willing to work two (2) days onsite in a hybrid arrangement
Up to 10% travel required
