Celerity is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Northern California Utility team. This is a remote (work from home) eligible position. As a Business Analyst, you will facilitate projects by supporting the development of analytics, creating and maintaining operational reporting, and responding to data requests about program objectives. You will play a key role in extracting and analyzing data to support operational analysis efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage data management projects from initial request to presenting data results.
2. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and objects.
3. Research and analyze data discrepancies, ad hoc requests, and propose solutions.
4. Extract and transfer data from databases to support operational analysis efforts.
5. Support daily operations and monitor data pipelines through BI reporting endpoints.
6. Coordinate requirements and deliverables with senior team members.
7. Provide timely responses to business inquiries, escalating as necessary.
8. Identify and solve gaps in data requirements and access.
9. Contribute to business case development.
10. Manage routine data analysis projects, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
11. Collaborate with colleagues on data processing and reporting.
12. Develop clear, concise, and actionable data analyses.
13. Use statistical tools to develop reports, trends, and profiles.
14. Understand technical needs and communicate effectively with team leads.
15. Anticipate project disruptions and their business impact.
16. Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
17. Apply expertise to solve complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
18. Integrate industry knowledge into business practices and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, which can be substituted by an advanced degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Power BI, DAX, SQL, Excel (advanced), Power Query, Xlookup, pivot tables, data modeling, and normalization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of related experience.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of business requirements processes.
• Understanding of the utility business.
