Itero Group, LLC is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support the expansion and adoption of an enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform. In this role, you will help strengthen portfolio, program, project, and Agile management capabilities while supporting project teams as they adopt new tools, processes, and practices. You will combine hands‑on project management experience with strong scheduling expertise and a practical understanding of PPM operations.
Working across technical and business teams, you will help shape platform enhancements, support implementation activities, and encourage consistent use of effective project management practices. This position is well suited to a collaborative professional who can translate user needs into actionable requirements, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and guide change through training and ongoing support.
You bring at least seven years of IT project management experience in a direct Project Manager role, managing initiatives from initiation through delivery, along with three or more years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or Agile project management. You are proficient in project planning and scheduling with Microsoft Project or a comparable enterprise PPM platform, and understand PPM workflows, governance, reporting, and process improvement.
You have experience collaborating with technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment. You can support software testing and create clear user documentation, training materials, and practical guidance. Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office applications is required. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while building effective partnerships across teams.
Preferred qualifications include PMP, PgMP, PfMP, Scrum, or SAFe certification; experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM); and experience implementing or enhancing enterprise PPM platforms. Familiarity with enterprise technology rollouts, user adoption, and change management is also valued.
Support adoption of enterprise project planning and scheduling capabilities through demonstrations, office hours, and individualized assistance to project managers. Help implement project change request workflows and other PPM process improvements, and apply portfolio, program, and Agile management knowledge to define and introduce additional platform functionality.
Partner with development teams across the SDLC, contributing to requirements, configuration, testing, and deployment activities. Support pilot programs and initial implementations, then help scale successful capabilities and processes across the organization. Develop and deliver role-specific training, user guides, knowledge base articles, and practical tips that make platform use clear and consistent.
Participate in governance activities to assess, prioritize, and implement enhancement requests. Collaborate with project managers, decentralized PMOs, technical teams, and business stakeholders to strengthen adoption, align practices, and support continuous improvement across the enterprise.
